How to Remove Duplicate Lines from a Text List
Clean repeated entries from pasted lists while preserving the order of the first occurrence.
Use Toolvuno’s Remove Duplicate Lines and check the result before downloading.
Open Remove Duplicate Lines →1. Prepare one entry per line
Paste the list into the tool with each item on its own line. The tool treats line breaks as the boundaries between entries.
2. Remove repeated entries
Run the duplicate-line remover. Check whether blank lines and differences in capitalization or whitespace matter for your particular list.
3. Review the output
Compare the result with the source list, especially when entries that look similar may represent different people, IDs or records.
4. Copy the cleaned list
Copy the result into your spreadsheet, editor or workflow. Keep a source copy in case you need to recover removed entries.
Important to remember
Duplicate detection depends on the tool’s matching rules. Two entries that differ by capitalization or extra spaces may not be treated as identical unless the tool explicitly normalizes them.
