Unix Timestamp Converter
Convert Unix epoch timestamps to readable dates or convert dates back to seconds and milliseconds.
What does this tool do?
A Unix timestamp measures time from the Unix epoch, 1 January 1970 UTC. This converter accepts timestamps in seconds or milliseconds and displays the matching date using your local time zone.
How to use it
- Enter a Unix timestamp in seconds or milliseconds.
- Choose Timestamp to date to convert it.
- Or select a date and time and choose Date to timestamp.
Common uses and tips
Timestamps are based on UTC epoch time, while the readable date field is displayed in your local time zone. Check the expected time zone when sharing results across systems.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know whether a timestamp is seconds or milliseconds?
Values around ten digits are commonly seconds; values around thirteen digits are commonly milliseconds. The tool uses that size heuristic.
Does the date use UTC?
Epoch values represent an absolute moment. The date/time field is shown in your local time zone.
Can I convert a date back to Unix time?
Yes. Select a date and time and use Date to timestamp.

What Toolvuno does
Toolvuno provides free browser-based utilities for common image, PDF and text tasks. The current site does not require an account to use the available tools.
Files and text you process
The current image tools and Word Counter process the selected files or text in your browser. Toolvuno does not intentionally send those inputs to a Toolvuno application server for processing. The PDF Compressor in Version 1 also operates locally and may return the original PDF unchanged when safe browser-only recompression is not available.
Theme preference
Toolvuno stores your selected Light, Dark or System theme preference in your browser's local storage. This preference is used only to remember the interface choice on this device.
Cookies, advertising and analytics
This Version 1 package contains no advertising provider integration. It also does not add a third-party analytics script in the static build. If analytics, advertising or other third-party services are added in a future release, this policy should be updated to explain what information those services collect and why.
External services
Toolvuno does not ask you to create an account or provide personal information to use the current browser-based tools. Your web host may independently maintain normal technical server logs; those practices are controlled by the hosting provider and should be documented separately when applicable.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when Toolvuno's functionality or third-party integrations change. The latest version will be published on this page with its updated date.
Contact
For privacy questions, use the contact method published by the site owner when a production support address is configured. Toolvuno does not publish a fabricated email address.
